This blog is not meant to be therapeutic advice. It is simply a place for me to let out my thoughts, and maybe it will help others in the process. I will always recommend obtaining your own therapist, but if you have questions and need a supportive ear, I am here and will do my best to answer what I can and guide you to the resources that may help.
I have decided to start a blog for a couple of reasons. One, it is therapeutic for me to be able to express my thoughts and open a dialogue with others. Two, I have my own mental health concerns which I will talk about in one of my blog posts, and my hope is that I can add to the mental health community with insights, experience, and conversation. And three, my hope is that I can turn my pain and struggle into something beautiful by inspiring others and generating ideas together. I will also be posting resources for media that has helped me (i.e., websites, books, companies, etc.).
When commenting, please be kind, respectful, and understanding of others' opinions. I always like to say, "if it doesn't apply, let it fly!" Please do not comment in the form of hate speech or any form of discrimination. This page is meant to feel like a safe space to share ideas and resources. If there are any concerns with others' comments please feel free to contact me or report them.
So, join me on this journey. Maybe you will learn something along the way, as I am sure I will learn from all of you as well.
